The 80's were full of good times, big hair and outrageous style. 80's fashion has turned into
an event itself....Do you remember parachute pants, Vans, Jordache Jeans, the Izod shirt
(that irresistible little alligator!) OP (Ocean Pacific),rat-tails, Mohawks, and spiked hair?
What about Penny Loafers, Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts, Espadrilles, Chinos, and leg warmers? Add colorful mascara (my personal favorite was teal green), banana clips, big earrings, fingerless gloves and Swatch watches (worn several at a time) and you have a TOTALLY 80's look!
Music was a BIG part of our memories overshadowing much of world events in our minds. The Class of 1982 started High School in the fall of 1978. The last graduating class of the 70's was the seniors and the 80's were just around the corner for us to claim and make them our own . . . Here is a compilation of music lists (some overlap from year to year) and world events and other assorted memories. Have fun wandering down Memory Lane! I did!

Arcade Video game 'Space Invaders' released, starting a video game craze that has continued ever since. In 1979 Atari's Asteroids proved incredibly popular - one notable improvement over Space Invaders was that it allowed the players to record hi-scores, for other players to spend hours trying to beat. By 1982 many of the 'classics' had been released, defender and pac-man, to name a few. The industry was worth $5 billion a year - more than the U.S. movie industry. Although Pong, of 1973, and similar games had been around for several years none were really interesting enough to capture the public - Space Invaders, however, had everything, in a fast action game that pitted you against the computer.
